New Mexico School for the Arts Receives $100,000 Leadership Award
to Renovate LCF Guitar Studio
The Life Center Foundation recently presented a $100,000 Legacy Grant Award to NMSA to fund the renovation of the existing guitar studio into a state-of-the-art studio and rehearsal/performance hall at the downtown campus.
“This project will provide essential music education opportunities and a beautiful and functional space for the guitar program,” says Cindy Montoya, NMSA- Art Institute’s President. “We are honored and thrilled by this partnership and intend to rename the guitar studio ….as “The Life Center Foundation Guitar Studio.”
Founded in 2010 in Santa Fe, NMSA is the State’s only tuition-free, statewide-enrolling, publiccharter arts high school. NMSA integrates a college-preparatory academic education with intensive pre-professional arts training.
The Life Center Foundation will be announcing additional ’Bricks and Mortar’ Grant Awards in 2026-2027.
From 2003-2026, the LCF has given over $700,000 to front-line non-profits serving New Mexico’s most vulnerable children.
